Fifty years after the death of Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli (1900-1975) and one hundred and fifty years after the birth of Fabio Bargagli Petrucci (1875-1939), Santa Maria della Scala dedicates a study day to the two figures who profoundly influenced the cultural landscape of Siena at the beginning of the twentieth century and, in particular, during their mutual interactions in the 1920s. Scholars and professionals in the field revisit the events that involved both men in the creation of the city’s main museum institutions and in the enhancement of the territory.
