Marble slab of the Sepulchre of the Rectors

On the left wall of the entrance hall of the hospital, renovated in its current form by architect Augusto Corbi in 1896, are embedded the tombstones of four rectors of Santa Maria della Scala, as well as the large marble slab that covered the Rectors' Tomb, commissioned by Agostino Chigi in 1613.
