The room named after Italo Calvino in 2010 in memory of the writer's death in the Sienese hospital, was inaugurated in 2019 as a space dedicated to conferences.

Information

Named in memory of the writer’s passing in the Siena hospital, the hall was dedicated to Italo Calvino in 2010 and inaugurated in 2019 as a space for conferences and events. Previously, it served as a hospital ward located in the historic women’s wing of the hospital, known as the Sala delle Balie.

The hall is available for rental:

Capacity: 300 seats
Suitable for: conferences, presentations, performances, film screenings, gala dinners, and events
Facilities: control room, WiFi, PC, audio-video system, equipped kitchen*, cloakroom
*Catering service not included

Adjacent to the Italo Calvino Hall, five interconnected rooms offer additional space and flexibility.

Capacity: 50 standing guests
Suitable for: coffee breaks and standing light lunches, small meetings
