On the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day, Wednesday, October 1, the Antico Ospedale Santa Maria della Scala Foundation organizes the conference Well-being at the museum: examples of good practice projects for Alzheimer's and those who care for them, a moment of reflection and open discussion for cultural and healthcare professionals and the general public.
The meeting will be held at the Sala Sant'Ansano starting from 3:30 PM, with interventions from experts in the museum, academic and social-health fields who will share experiences of projects aimed at improving the well-being of people with dementia through art, culture and relationships.
Testimonies that show how social prescribing is the way to follow to guide a new care perspective and combat social isolation.
The museum is part of the MTA network – Tuscan Museums for Alzheimer's – and carries out projects aimed at people with dementia and their caregivers.
