Photography Readings – Exhibition SHARED VISIONS

During the event Photography Readings, in the Italo Calvino Hall, a collective photographic exhibition will be installed Shared Visions, curated by Siena Foto Club.
The exhibition, with an open theme, collects images by the members of the Siena Foto Club, an organization active since 1985 with the aim of promoting the passion for and culture of photography in the Siena area. The club, always lively and creative, combines a strong connection to the local community with a curious and open outlook on the world.
Shared Visions aims to demonstrate how the plurality of perspectives is a value that enriches each person's perception, merging into a true 'collective gaze'. The exhibition offers full freedom of expression to the authors, becoming a chorus of voices that tell the world through different sensibilities and styles, united by the passion for photography to be shared with the viewer.
The project reflects the spirit of the Siena Foto Club: collaboration among members and photographic growth as fundamental elements for sharing a common passion.
A section of the exhibition will be dedicated to the presence in Siena of the 'photographer of reality' Gianni Berengo Gardin (1930-2025), as a tribute a few months after his passing. A point of reference for documentary photography in Italy and abroad, Gardin influenced whole generations of photographers and received international recognitions such as the Leica Oskar Barnack Award in 1995 and the Leica Hall of Fame Award in 2017.
