On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, the Santa Maria della Scala museum complex offers a rich program of guided tours and activities for children.

11:00 AM – Thematic tour to the Giuliano Briganti Library: a curious look at the architectural heritage of ancient buildings
Libraries preserve what cities forget. The visit to the Giuliano Briganti Library will focus on its book and photographic heritage, exploring the theme of ancient architecture through the viewing of valuable engraved volumes from the 17th/18th centuries and images of works of art.

The visit will retrace, through the environments and exhibited works, the development of the hospital complex, its transformations over the centuries, and its recovery as a museum structure.
