The white marble funerary monument was created by Giovanni Battista Tondi, who served as the rector from 1505 to 1507. He was buried in the Church of the Santissima Annunziata. The deceased is depicted in a three-quarter view, lying in a niche, wearing the rector's habit with a cross on his chest, where there is also the ladder, a symbol of the hospital. His hands are crossed over his abdomen, while his head rests on three cushions of different workmanship, with the top one damasked and decorated with vines.
