Among the ancient book heritage of the Biblioteca Briganti there are eight volumes with engraved panels by Giovan Battista Piranesi

The book heritage of the Biblioteca Briganti, located in a wing of the Santa Maria della Scala museum complex, houses numerous ancient books enriched with engraved tables. Among these you can browse eight impressive volumes in original half leather binding with marbled cardboard plates and large format prints, intact in all their parts, which Giovan Battista Piranesi (Mogliano Veneto 1720 - Rome 1778), personally engraved with the technique of acquaforte throughout its activity, which took place mainly in Rome. These are the Magnificenze di Roma Antica (1751),  Antichità Romane in quattro volumi (1756), Il Campo Marzio dell'Antica Roma (1762) e  Antichità d'Albano e Castelgandolfo (1764).
