The series returns to the Museum #IncontriallaScala: Thursday, December 18 at 5:30 PM, in the Sant'Ansano Hall, the book will be presented Medioevo che crea. Innovating, inventing, experimenting in Italy from the 10th to the 14th centuries, edited by Franco Franceschi, Paolo Nanni and Gabriella Piccinni, published by Laterza.

Joining the authors: Mario Prignano, journalist and essayist, and Roberta Mucciarelli, Professor of Medieval History at the University of Siena.

The volume offers an innovative reading of the Middle Ages between the 10th and 14th centuries, showing how this period, often considered static and backward, was instead characterized by creativity, innovation and experimentation. From the organization of cities and the landscape to economic structures and financial instruments, and through cultural and social phenomena, the book tells the story of a dynamic and surprising Middle Ages, thanks to the contributions of the leading experts in Italian and international medieval studies.
