During the evening it will be possible to visit the museum complex and the National Archaeological Museum freely and free of charge; there will also be theatrical guided tours with Roberto Bechi, Rita Ceccarelli and Martina Guideri, also free, by reservation at segreteria@santamariadellascala.com, for groups of maximum 25 people, with time slots at 9:15 PM, 10:00 PM and 10:45 PM.

Once upon a time there was a Hospital in the shape of a city… and it's still there.

Santa Maria della Scala is the ancient hospital-museum that tells stories of the sick, the poor, pilgrims, artists and foundlings who for centuries enlivened its large spaces, oratories, wards and internal streets. When visitors leave at the end of the day, night falls, but the creatures who once walked those places return to life in a new dimension; they reunite and tell their stories. At night the doors open to new encounters, apparitions and deeds.
