ActionReaction, by Pippo Lionni, Sergio Corbini and Stefano Franceschini, is an interactive project of art and contemporary music that understands the creative process as if it were a musical score translated into abstract forms.

An abstract art performance like that of the New York artist Pippo Lionni in the museum complex of Santa Maria della Scala fits perfectly with the peculiarity of this historic building with complex layers. The artist's large canvases interpret the vast spaces of the structure. Abstract art, from the Latin "abstractus", "pulls out" the emotional bonds of the creative flow, makes the past, present and future uncertain in their delimitations, creates a quantum field of probability. The artist's movements, the music of ActionReaction, the interactions between musicians and painters, the dialogue with the public, animate the spaces, enhancing their versatility. Pippo Lionni's paintings give life and movement to the inputs offered by the figurative art masterpieces present in the structure: however, his works do not inhabit places, they pass through them.
